Job summary

UNOPS Global Portfolios Office in New York invites applications for the Regional Management & Oversight Senior Advisor. You will be a strategic partner to the GPO Director, guiding financial stewardship, operational excellence, workforce management, compliance, and overall performance across the portfolio.

The role leads the Operations Management Group, coordinates cross-regional initiatives, and supports the planning and monitoring of the business plan, ensuring cost-effective use of resources

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Admin, Finance, Political Science, IR, Intl Development or related field.
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in the above fields with 10 years of relevant experience.
• 12+ years of relevant experience for Bachelor’s degree path.
• Experience in management and advisory/coordination roles.
• 3+ years in project/program management, international development, post-disaster and/or emergency contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse and senior teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advisory to the Director on financial stewardship and performance.
• Develop multi-year strategic plan and annual business plan with targets.
• Monitor and oversee performance across GPO and internal controls.
• Coordinate cross-regional initiatives and knowledge sharing initiatives.
• Lead resource planning and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
