Job summary

Mosaic in Central Iowa seeks a State Service Development Manager to spearhead growth initiatives, build community partnerships, and expand service lines for individuals with disabilities. You will work with the State Operations Director and local leaders to drive strategy and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will lead hiring, training, and development of a high-performing team, foster referral relationships, and travel regionally to engage partners and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in a related service/business development role supporting persons with disabilities, including at least 1 year of direct leadership/management experience.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

Are you a natural relationship-builder, strategic thinker, and compassionate leader? We are seeking a State Service Development Manager in Central Iowa to spearhead strategic growth initiatives, build vibrant community partnerships, and expand our trans-formative service lines for persons with an intellectual and developmental disabilities. Working alongside the State Operations Director and local operational leaders, you will serve as a key growth catalyst and regulatory expert, driving innovation and leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Drive Business & Market Growth: Conduct market analysis, monitor industry trends, and expand existing service lines to build a robust pipeline of referral partners.
• Lead & Mentor Teams: Oversee hiring, training, supervision, and ongoing professional development of direct reports to maximize employee engagement and drive success.
• Serve as an Ambassador & Partner: Build strong, trust-based relationships with community referral sources, industry organizations, and local community leaders across Central Iowa.
• Regulatory Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as an internal and external advisor on Iowa service models for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, regulatory requirements for community based services, and policy frameworks.
• Collaborative Strategy: Partner with cross-functional leadership teams to align business development initiatives with overall organizational goals.
• Community Engagement: Travel regularly across the region to network, attend key industry events, and elevate Mosaic's reach.
