Regional Sales Manager Pacific Northwest

Position Summary:

Cheese Merchants of America is looking for a motivated, passionate Regional Sales Manager to service and grow our existing business, as well as seek out new business partners.

Job Duties:

  • Be passionate about and well-versed in the food industry, understanding major broad-line distribution players, and maintaining strong relationships with them. Proven record of influencing large deals within this segment.
  • Develop long-term strategies and execute the annual sales plan.
  • Lead regional sales efforts targeting regional chain and independent operators through local and national distributors.
  • Drive corporate programs with major and regional distributors.
  • Maintain a growth, service, and hands-on mindset.
  • Travel extensively (+/- 60%) to meet with current customers and prospects, making multiple calls in each market to distributors, brokers, and end users within the Northwest Region.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to develop and implement support programs.
  • Work with internal support departments to effectively manage customer pricing and programs.

Requirements:

  • BS or BA degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience with broad-line distribution, regional chains, and key operators.
  • Food industry experience is required, with a background in perishables, cheese, or dairy preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to meet organizational goals, mission, vision, and values.
  • Proven track record of delivering significant sales growth with major distributors and regional accounts.
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, teamwork, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Position is primarily remote; candidates must reside in the assigned territory and be able to travel approximately 60% of the time.
  • Preferred location: Near a major airport hub in OR or WA. Secondary NW markets may be considered.
