Maxcess International is seeking a Sales Manager to strategically manage key accounts and OEM customers in the mid-Atlantic region. This role involves driving sales growth, cultivating business opportunities, and providing technical support in a range of industries, such as packaging and manufacturing. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and a customer-focused approach while being comfortable with significant travel.
Candidates are required to reside in or be willing to relocate within the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Territory includes WV, VA, and NC.
Primary Responsibility:
Strategically manage key accounts and OEM customers to cultivate positive partnerships and increase sales, serving markets including packaging, tire and rubber, metals, nonwovens, tag and label, and battery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sales growth and account management for all Maxcess product lines in the defined territory in the US.
- Meet assigned revenue objectives. (Quota)
- Cultivate new business opportunities both with new and existing accounts, by identifying and engaging with key decision makers and influencers, developing and following sales plans as part of the Customer Acquisition Process (CAP)
- Communicate emerging market demands and new product requirements to effectively compete in the marketplace.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
- Support the customers with technical assistance and training
- Active use of CRM and associated reporting and pipeline management tools
- Foster cross-selling of OneMaxcess
- Complete all necessary administrative functions including but not limited to, forecasting, new business development, cold-calling, quotations, and account data maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned to meet departmental and Company objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Sound knowledge of components, machinery or processes used in one or more web handling or converting application (e.g. web or strip coating, laminating, printing, converting, etc.)(minimum of 5 years)
- Demonstrated knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, pneumatics, industrial controls or mechanical products.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking required with an ability to identify market/customer trends
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and follow through skills
- Customer Service focus with ability to respond promptly to customer needs, manage difficult or emotional situations, meet commitments and solicit feedback to improve service
- Works well in a team environment, balancing team and individual responsibilities, gives and welcomes feedback, and supports everyone’s efforts to succeed
- Must be able to make sales calls at customer locations, including work conditions typical of an industrial manufacturing environment – noise, dust, odors, etc.
- Must be able to travel to customer locations by car or flight throughout the United States.
- Up to 75% travel to customer locations required
- Working from home office with proper ergonomic set-up is required
- Able to wear required personal protective equipment – safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
Job Qualifications and Experience (Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university is preferred
- Prior technical or industrial sales experience working with capital goods or engineered products in a manufacturing environment is preferred
