Job description

Eaton's FFD Fluid Filtration Division is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager - Industrial Plastics Division. This role reports directly to the Industrial Plastics Division North America Sales Manager, and functionally to the Filtration North America Sales Manager. The position is responsible for supporting customers in the Northern US and Canada, with a focus on the Northeast US and Eastern Canada. It is a remote role, requiring 50% travel throughout the territory.

Eaton is a leader in liquid filtration, helping customers produce clean and pure products across industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, municipal water, petrochemicals, marine, automotive, agriculture, construction, and power generation.

The annual salary range for this role is $84,375 - $123,750. The position is eligible for a variable incentive program. Salary offers are based on skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

What you'll do:
  1. Implement strategic plans to grow business aligned with Division Profit Plan goals. Develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations.
  2. Prepare sales presentations to promote product understanding and awareness. Quote projects and negotiate pricing.
  3. Build relationships with key end-user customers for long-term prospects.
  4. Coordinate with Customer Service to address inquiries, orders, invoices, and complaints efficiently. Resolve conflicts as needed.
  5. Monitor market trends, pricing, and delivery requirements; communicate insights to leadership.
  6. Organize training and promotional events for channel partners. Analyze sales data to develop policies and campaigns, enhancing brand and technical awareness.
  7. Maintain expertise in applications and trends to effectively promote Eaton Plastics products. Pursue ongoing training.
  8. Collaborate with Marketing to identify and develop new market or product opportunities.
  9. Document activities, prospects, and opportunities in CRM. Provide a 3-month forecast.
  10. Ensure effective communication within the team and other departments. Support coordinated sales efforts and keep management informed.
  11. Represent Eaton at trade association meetings to promote products.
  12. Develop and maintain deep knowledge of the Industrial Plastics market and products.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years of technical sales experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions
  • Residency within the territory (Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, or Rhode Island)
Preferred:
  • Master's or MBA degree
  • At least 5 years of sales/marketing experience in plastics
  • Understanding of the extrusion process
  • Experience managing reps/distributors
  • Experience with SalesForce
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
