Remote - Michigan

Thales is hiring an experienced and motivated Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for our Cyber Security Products (CSP) business to join our Sales Team. This role involves selling to end-users through channel partners, leveraging all routes to market. The RSM will focus on selling our CSP Portfolio (Data and Application Security) by understanding client needs, industry initiatives (e.g., PCI, SOX, HIPAA, NERC), and developing compelling value propositions to close deals. The role also involves building trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and key buyers within the region, with an emphasis on net new logo sales.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  1. Penetrate white space accounts in the territory to identify and drive sales.
  2. Have good knowledge of Data Protection Regulations such as PCI, SOX, HIPAA, NERC, ISO27001, IEC62443, etc.
  3. Drive new business from commercial and public sector targets in the region.
  4. Target and engage at the CxO, auditor, and IT practitioner levels.
  5. Identify and cultivate relationships with key business partners involved in advising and selling Data Protection solutions to government entities.
  6. Generate leads by presenting our portfolio, including Application and Data Protection solutions.
  7. Spend 4-5 hours daily cold calling white space accounts.
  8. Utilize tools like ZoomInfo, 6Sense, LinkedIn for social selling.
  9. Demonstrate product capabilities and address technical-sales questions.
  10. Follow up on sales processes to move opportunities towards closing.
  11. Negotiate terms/pricing and close deals.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred, or minimum 5 years of proven experience in Technology and/or Security Solution Sales.
  2. 3-5 years of sales experience in the IT Cyber Security industry.
  3. Ability to make independent decisions and manage accounts/territories with minimal oversight.
  4. Strong background in cyber security products and subscription sales, with experience working with enterprise accounts over $2B in revenue.
  5. Experience managing all sales cycle aspects, from prospecting to account planning and execution.
  6. Ability to up-sell and penetrate strategic accounts.
  7. Comfortable participating in technical discussions and working collaboratively with Sales Engineers.
  8. Capable of navigating complex sales and engaging at multiple organizational levels.
  9. Proven ability to close complex and multi-year deals.
  10. Willingness to travel up to 50%.
