Remote - Michigan

Thales is hiring an experienced and motivated Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for our Cyber Security Products (CSP) business to join our Sales Team. This role involves selling to end-users through channel partners, leveraging all routes to market. The RSM will focus on selling our CSP Portfolio (Data and Application Security) by understanding client needs, industry initiatives (e.g., PCI, SOX, HIPAA, NERC), and developing compelling value propositions to close opportunities. The role also includes developing trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and key buyers, with an emphasis on white space (net new logo) sales.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Penetrate specified accounts in the territory to identify and drive sales of solutions.
  2. Maintain good knowledge of Data Protection Regulations such as PCI, SOX, HIPAA, NERC, ISO27001, IEC62443.
  3. Drive new business in the commercial and public sectors within the region.
  4. Engage with CxO level, auditors, and IT practitioners to promote solutions.
  5. Identify, cultivate, and formalize relationships with key business partners involved in advising and selling Data Protection solutions to government.
  6. Generate leads by scheduling and presenting our portfolio, including Application and Data Protection solutions.
  7. Allocate 4-5 hours daily for cold calling targeting White Space accounts.
  8. Utilize tools like ZoomInfo, 6Sense, LinkedIn for social selling.
  9. Demonstrate product capabilities and address technical sales questions.
  10. Follow up on sales processes to advance toward closing.
  11. Negotiate terms/pricing and close deals.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Technology and/or Security Solution Sales or equivalent.
  2. 3-5 years of sales experience in the IT Cyber Security industry.
  3. Ability to make independent decisions and manage accounts or territories with minimal oversight.
  4. Strong background in cyber security products and subscription sales, with experience in enterprise accounts over $2B revenue.
  5. Experience managing all sales cycle aspects, from prospecting to account planning.
  6. Ability to up-sell and penetrate strategic targets.
  7. Comfort in technical discussions and collaboration with Sales Engineers.
  8. Skill in navigating complex sales opportunities at multiple organizational levels.
  9. Proven ability to close multi-year, complex deals.
  10. Willingness to travel up to 50%.
