This strategic role is a direct sales position in lieu of an independent manufacturer’s representative or distributor with the goal of developing market dominance by supplying sales and technical support for all BS&B overpressure protection technology (rupture disks, custom engineered products, specialty valves, tank vents, flame arresters, and others that may be made available) to the defined territory.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: 5+ years of direct selling success within the defined territory selling technical/engineered products to the process industries including chemical/petrochemical, pharmaceutical/biotech, power generation, paints/pigments, and food processing.
Knowledge: Customer and territory management through direct sales, computer proficiency as it relates to CRM software, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and ERP navigation. Application oriented sales professional with experience in product differentiation and value based selling. Ability to influence buying decisions at multiple levels of an organization (purchasing and maintenance to senior management/leadership.) Builder of strong relationships that can be leveraged into new business. Demonstrated and reference-able history of closing deals and bringing significant revenue forward. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Root cause/countermeasure approach to problem solving. Intrinsically motivated, results orientated and highly collaborative. Ability to work within a matrix management environment with multiple senior and lateral collaboration and reporting requirements. Ability to influence and drive approval from various stakeholders at all levels Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A strong desire to succeed individually and corporately. Ability to travel weekly over the entire defined territory as may be required.
