Regional Sales Manager for HerdStar

We are looking for someone with a strong sales aptitude that can be counted on to get the work done without someone looking over their shoulder.

This position is home based (WFH) within the designated territory. Generally, the territory will consist of the state you live in and surrounding states and will be subject to your location.

Our parent company, Garner Industries LLC, is a custom manufacturer providing plastic injection molded and CNC-machined parts. The corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility is in Lincoln, NE.

WHAT WE WILL ASK YOU TO DO:

  • Work with customers in your territory to find solutions to their inventory tracking issues and shortcomings. Discuss their evolving needs and assess the quality of the company’s relationship with them.
  • Document customer interactions, within CRM, and maintain data related to activities, accounts, and partners.
  • Create proposals and follow up with customers after quoting.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings to discuss sales trends and suggestions for improvement to sales process.
  • Coordinate with customer service on new order entry.
  • Take responsibility for dealer/distributor sales development within your territory.
  • Work hands-on with our customers to set up our solutions.
  • Respond quickly to sales leads.
  • Coordinate with our engineering team on customer demands for new products.
  • Assist with sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide technical product support.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 5-7 years of direct sales and/or management experience in industrial product sales
  • Experience selling in the agricultural, industrial, plastics or cement industries is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Technical aptitude and knowledge of material storage and conveying is helpful.
  • Strong relationship talent with a focus on pleasing the customer.
  • Strong experience with computers, software applications, network architectures and MS product software.
  • BA or BS degree preferred but not necessarily required.
  • Previous experience utilizing and maintaining customer data in a CRM system.
  • Successful dealer/representative sales management experience.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work.
  • A genuine love of the sales process.

DEMANDS OF THIS POSITION:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable in industrial settings, including heights in and around large vessels and silos.
  • Must be willing and able to travel (including overnight stays) for consecutive days on a frequent basis. Travel is estimated at 30-50%.
  • Dexterous use of both hands, arms and legs.
  • Valid passport or the ability to obtain a passport, depending on territory.
  • Must possess and maintain a safe driving record and a valid state license.
