Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for our Central South (Houston, TX Area), is responsible for overseeing and expanding customer relationships within a specific geographic area. This position focuses on selling Spirax products, systems, and service contracts to both new and current customers. The RSM will also guide junior sales representatives, assist central initiatives, and work collaboratively across functions to enhance business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers in the assigned territory.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and manage customer communications.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of quotations for products and services.
  • Technical Experience and understanding of the commercial industry
  • Follow up on sales to ensure customer happiness and identify future opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on account growth, new business development, and profitability.
  • Align territory activities with organizational strategic goals.
  • Deliver product and service training to end users and distributors through formal and informal presentations.
  • Maintain accurate records of territory activity, opportunities, and quotations
  • Support Sales Engineers representatives through joint customer visits and mentorship.
  • Participate in planning sessions and contribute to the development of technical and sales skills within the team.
  • Market Insight & Business Development
  • Proactively capture customer insights to influence product and service development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to expand business within existing and new accounts.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience or equivalent education.
  • 3+ years of leading and managing a successful team
  • Proven success in value-based selling and turnkey project sales to senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and complete business plans.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms.
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Demonstrates technical competence and ability to communicate complex solutions clearly.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
