Job summary

Humphrey Products Company, based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to identify and develop new customers, applications, and markets in Southwest Michigan. You will support distributors, coordinate with engineering, and execute sales strategies while traveling up to 70% of the time.

The role requires 4+ years of engineering experience (2+ in customer-facing roles) and a mechanical/electrical/controls background, plus strong communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years professional engineering experience including 2+ years application / customer facing engineering experience with pneumatic or hydraulic electromechanical components and/or systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in related engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical or Controls) preferred.
• Strong people skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Strong computer-based communication tools acumen.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers, applications, and markets within Southwest Michigan.
• Provide support to existing customers and distributors in the region.
• Evaluate distributors based on performance and opportunities, and search for new distributors in underperforming areas.
• Provide pre-sales application engineering services and coordinate with the engineering team.
• Execute sales and marketing strategies and perform product demonstrations.
