Job Description

If you are a sales professional seeking growth opportunities, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a dedicated Regional Sales Director (RSD), ideally based in Atlanta, GA, covering the Southeast region, including Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. As RSD, you will drive sales growth, develop key initiatives, and lead a successful sales team. Your role is pivotal in expanding market share, building client relationships, and implementing our industrial automation solutions effectively.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  1. Sales Leadership: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed targets and expand market presence.
  2. Customer Engagement: Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and channel partners.
  3. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and support the sales team to enhance performance.
  4. Collaboration: Work with marketing, engineering, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  5. Market Analysis & Strategy: Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  6. Pipeline & Performance Management: Use CRM tools to track activities, manage pipelines, and forecast revenue.
  7. Leadership & Culture: Foster a high-performance, ethical, and innovative sales environment.
Who You Are:

A committed sales professional who values accountability, collaboration, and networking. You build trust with customers, are resourceful, resilient, and goal-oriented.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. At least 7 years of industrial automation sales experience, including 3+ years in leadership
  3. Deep knowledge of factory automation, control systems, and market trends
  4. Proven success in leading sales teams and driving revenue growth
  5. Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  6. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  7. Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and analytics software
  8. Willingness to travel extensively within the region
  9. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business, or related field
  2. MBA
  3. Knowledge of automation solutions like PLCs, software, fluid control technologies
