Amylyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Regional Sales Director for the West Region to lead a high-performing field sales team focused on post-bariatric hypoglycemia (PBH).

The role requires building a capable team, executing regional plans, and driving education and awareness across the referral network. The incumbent will translate national strategy into regional priorities, coach field teams, and collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access to ensure disciplined execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience with 3+ years of field sales leadership.
• Experience in rare disease, endocrinology, metabolic disease, or specialty markets.
• Proven talent development and compliant leadership capabilities.
• Ability to translate brand priorities into regional/territory plans and measurable objectives.
• Strong business/analytical acumen with data-driven decision making.
• Matrix leadership across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Compliance.
• Excellent communication and relationship management in a pre-launch/launch setting.
• Valid driver’s license and travel readiness.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, onboard, lead, coach, and retain a high-performing field sales team.
• Own the regional business plan and translate PBH priorities into territory strategies and account plans.
• Establish operating rhythms with coaching, reviews, and performance tracking.
• Utilize CRM, market intelligence, and referral networks to identify opportunities and risks.
• Spend significant time in the field coaching on clinical dialogue, pre-call planning, and reimbursement.
• Set performance expectations and address gaps with action planning.
• Build relationships with health systems, bariatric programs, endocrinology teams, and key stakeholders.
• Manage regional budget and resources in line with priorities and policies.
• Model Amylyx values and maintain ethics, inclusion, and patient focus.
