Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Regional Sales Director for CMEMS in the United States. You will lead a clinical and market development team to achieve therapy adoption and sales targets, while coaching field staff and aligning with finance on P&L for the region.

You will develop regional plans, drive performance, and foster relationships with doctors and key opinion leaders to expand market penetration. This role requires leadership in a matrix environment and may involve significant travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of sales leadership experience in medical devices.
• Strong organizational and deadline management skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a highly matrixed, geographically diverse environment.
• Effective team player and individual contributor in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to engage others to accomplish projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines.
• Up to 50% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop regional strategic plans to meet revenue and market goals.
• Drive regional performance with sales and service strategies.
• Create programs to generate additional regional revenue by increasing referrals.
• Collaborate with field team to increase referrals and remove barriers to growth.
• Provide coaching to field sales and support staff through visits and performance review.
• Oversee training strategies and market development plans for the region.
• Lead talent acquisition and development within the region.
• Build relationships with customers, KOLs and industry leaders.
• Maintain knowledge of competing technology and products.
• Manage P&L for the region with finance alignment.
