Job Summary

Compass Group seeks a top-performing, organized self-starter for a new business development role to grow the Bon Appétit brand in the higher education market. This strategic, high-level individual will build relationships and lead sales processes independently, collaborating with operating partners and support teams.

As the Regional Sales Director, reporting to the Regional Vice President of Sales, you will drive profitable growth through new opportunities nationally, based in a major Southeast city.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build strategic relationships over a 12+ month complex sales cycle
  2. Cold call, prospect, network, and develop new and existing markets
  3. Communicate effectively with key stakeholders (written and oral)
  4. Develop sales proposals and respond to RFPs collaboratively
  5. Identify support resources needed to close new business
  6. Follow the Compass Sales Process
  7. Exceed annual sales targets
  8. Travel up to 65% within the territory
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in new business development, preferably in higher education
  • Proficiency with CRM, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat
  • 5+ years of sales experience, with a focus on new client acquisition
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding quotas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and territory development skills
  • High energy, positive attitude, and professional presence
  • High integrity and emotional intelligence
