NRG Energy seeks a Regional Safety Manager to own safety programs across designated plants, lead change toward a zero-injury culture, and partner with leadership to ensure health and safety compliance. The role emphasizes developing safety professionals and maintaining strong regulatory knowledge.

You will engage with plant safety teams, perform audits, and drive continuous improvements, including incident investigations and program governance across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years industry/safety experience including 4 years of power plant experience.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and industry guidelines.
• Experience with safety and occupational health management systems.
• Ability to coach and mentor colleagues and contract partners.
• Experience with change management and project management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Partner with plant leadership to develop, implement, and maintain safety programs promoting a safety over production culture.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections and risk assessments with strategic recommendations.
• Monitor changes in safety regulations and industry standards to keep policies current.
• Lead as a change agent toward a zero-injury culture within the region.
• Support development of safety professionals and committees through coaching and mentorship.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive continuous improvement across NRG.
