Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Regional Safety Specialist to drive safety, training, and quality initiatives across renewable energy sites. You will mentor on-site teams, coordinate emergency drills, and maintain robust safety programs while collaborating with site managers and HR.

The role requires OSHA/ISO knowledge, 2+ years in safety, travel up to 50%, and the ability to obtain wind-tower training. Bilingual Spanish is a plus and relocation may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a technical safety field.
• 2+ years safety management experience in energy or industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ISO, ANSI standards and safety regulations.
• OSHA 500 certification is required.
• Ability to obtain wind tower climb training and travel up to 50%.
• Strong coaching, auditing and safety-improvement skills.
• Proficient in LMS platforms and safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent safety observations and on-site mentoring.
• Lead emergency drills and safety training sessions.
• Ensure consistent safety documentation, PPE usage and procedures.
• Perform safety audits and incident investigations; share lessons learned.
• Coordinate corrective actions with site managers.
• Document training, incidents, and improvements in LMS and reporting tools.
• Act as liaison between site teams and corporate safety.
• Coordinate with HR to support health resources and employee assistance.
