Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America seeks a Safety Representative to lead safety initiatives across road construction, paving, and transportation in the Northeast Region. You will promote a safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support risk reduction with operational leaders.

In addition, you will be the Northeast Region's Samsara administrator, coordinating fleet safety technology, coaching, and reporting to improve driver behavior and overall safety performance.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of occupational safety, fleet safety, and transportation regulations.
• Experience supporting heavy industrial operations (construction, paving, aggregates, transportation).
• Experience administering fleet management or safety technology platforms; Samsara preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety performance across construction, paving, aggregate, and transportation operations.
• Conduct field audits, inspections, incidents, and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions.
• Deliver engaging safety training and coaching to reinforce compliance and best practices.
• Serve as Samsara administrator; manage fleet safety technology, coaching, and reporting.
