Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Safety Representative for the Northeast Region to lead safety initiatives across construction, paving, aggregates, and transportation. You will drive regulatory compliance, deliver training, and administer the Samsara fleet safety platform, with strong emphasis on incident prevention.

This role requires frequent travel throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding areas, collaboration with operations leadership, and the ability to analyze safety data to

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in safety leadership within heavy industrial/ construction operations.
• Experience administering fleet safety technology and Samsara platform preferred.
• Strong data analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective action skills.
• Ability to influence at all levels and coach drivers and managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety performance initiatives across Northeast Region for construction, paving, and transportation ops.
• Conduct field audits, inspections, investigations, and root cause analyses.
• Deliver engaging safety training, coaching, and compliance programs.
• Administer Samsara fleet safety platform, driver coaching, reporting, and telematics programs.
• Analyze safety data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with management to prepare for regulatory inspections (OSHA, DOT, MSHA).
• Provide technical safety guidance to managers, coaches, and field personnel.
• Lead regional initiatives to improve accountability and safety culture.
