Job summary

Heidelberg Materials in the Northeast Region is seeking a Safety Representative to lead safety initiatives across road construction, paving, and transportation operations. You will promote a culture of safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with leaders to reduce risk.

The role also administers the Samsara fleet safety platform, delivering training, coaching, reporting, and telematics initiatives to improve driver behavior and operational performance while supporting inspections.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of occupational safety and fleet safety regulations.
• Experience supporting heavy industrial operations (construction, paving, transportation).
• Experience administering safety technology platforms; Samsara preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives and coach regional teams to reduce risk.
• Perform field audits, inspections, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
• Deliver safety training and awareness programs aligned with OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Manage Samsara fleet safety platform, driver coaching, reporting, and telematics.
• Analyze safety and fleet data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with management for regulatory inspections and compliance.
