Qualifications

• Must have professional safety certification OR a college degree in a safety-related field with 2+ years of safety management experience OR 5+ years in safety/utility operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Proficient with email, documentation, safety bulletins/alerts, and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Contractor safety management program implementation
• Complete quality safety observations with documentation of findings and leading indicators
• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Provide safety leadership for grid enhancement projects
• Verify compliance with safety policies and owner requirements
• Ensure safety requirements are clear to contractors
• Represent the utility client in meetings
• Prepare reports in a concise format
• Reinforce safety culture with field crews
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures
