Job summary

Elderwood is seeking an experienced Regional Nurse Consultant (RNC) to oversee clinical operations and nursing leadership across a portfolio of skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Western New York, with travel to Central New York and Adirondack regions as needed. Qualifications

• Active NY RN license or NY RN license in good standing.
• Experience supervising nursing staff and leading clinical initiatives.
• Willingness to travel regionally across Western NY, Central NY and Adirondack region.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical guidance and oversight to an assigned portfolio of skilled nursing facilities.
• Partner with Directors of Nursing and Administrators to evaluate clinical priorities and strengthen nursing operations.
• Coach and mentor DONs, ADONs and other nursing leaders through complex clinical, regulatory and employee-related challenges.
• Support onboarding and development of Directors of Nursing.
• Help facilities maintain survey readiness and respond to regulatory findings.
• Review quality indicators and clinical outcomes with facility leadership.
• Develop and execute corrective-action and performance-improvement plans.
• Promote consistent clinical standards and accountability across facilities.
• Support staffing, resident safety, infection prevention and regulatory compliance.
