Job summary

Hill Valley Healthcare in Louisville, KY is seeking a Regional Director of Clinical Reimbursement (RN) to lead MDS strategy across multiple skilled nursing facilities. You will oversee reimbursement processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor regional MDS teams to improve accuracy and outcomes.

The role requires an active KY RN license, 3+ years in MDS/clinical reimbursement, strong knowledge of PDPM/Medicare and Medicaid rules, plus willingness to travel regionally and partner with

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.
• Minimum of 3 years of MDS and/or clinical reimbursement experience within a SNF or LTC setting.
• Strong working knowledge of MDS, PDPM, Medicare/Medicaid regulations and documentation requirements.
• Multi-facility or regional clinical reimbursement experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel regionally and reside in/relocate to Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical reimbursement and MDS strategy across multiple SNFs in the Kentucky region.
• Monitor reimbursement performance and identify opportunities to improve accuracy and capture reimbursement.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to MDS, Medicare, Medicaid, PDPM, and clinical reimbursement.
• Oversee ARD scheduling, MDS completion timelines, supporting documentation, and coding accuracy.
• Review facility processes to ensure documentation supports residents' clinical conditions and services.
• Lead regional reimbursement, MDS, and revenue-focused meetings.
• Educate, mentor, and support MDS Coordinators and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, training, and development of MDS leadership.
• Conduct facility visits, audits, and corrective actions as needed.
• Serve as SME during audits, denials, surveys, acquisitions, and operational transitions.
• Partner with leadership to monitor trends, resolve reimbursement concerns, and drive measurable results.
• Promote consistency and best practices across facilities throughout the region.
