Job summary

Novant Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Regional Float Pool to provide safe, high-quality patient care across multiple units within a defined region. RNs will cover 5–6 locations per shift, supporting varied patient needs and ensuring continuity of care.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree in Nursing with current licensure, BSN preferred, and possess strong communication, critical thinking, and computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Education: ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Consecutive years of experience in medical–surgical, telemetry, critical care, ED or women’s health.
• Current compact licensure in appropriate state; state-specific training may be required within 3 months for certain units.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification upon hire; Cardiac dysrhythmia testing/course within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, continuous quality patient care across multiple units as part of the Regional Resource Team.
• Work 5–6 locations within a defined region (Charlotte, Triad, or Coastal) to meet patient care needs.
• Serve as a mentor and consultant to clinical nurses and share best practices across teams.
• Adopt Novant Health systems, technology, and workflows to advance nursing practice.
