Job summary

Liberty Mutual is seeking a regional leader for Risk Engineering to drive client service plans and survey strategy across the US and Latin America. The role partners with Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Finance, and leadership to guide risk evaluation and portfolio decisions.

You will manage a team, set priorities, oversee surveys and on-site appraisals, and represent Liberty at conferences and with brokers to advance strategic risk management and market visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline such as Chemical, Process, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in relevant energy industries, including oil, gas, petrochemical, chemical, power generation, renewables, or heavy industries.
• At least 10 years of experience within the insurance sector in relevant lines of business.
• Demonstrated experience managing or leading a team of professionals.
• Partner across Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, and Finance functions on portfolio-level risk management.
• Strong communication and listening skills with external and internal stakeholders.
• Spanish and/or Portuguese language ability beneficial, not mandatory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; travel required.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supports development and delivery of bespoke client service plans through client engagement and survey strategy.
• Represents Liberty Risk Engineering with brokers, clients, and industry stakeholders to showcase capabilities.
• Leads engagement with regional Heads of Broker Risk Engineering to strengthen relationships and market visibility.
• Represents Liberty at conferences, panel discussions, and industry papers to promote expertise.
• Maintains knowledge of assigned business lines and market trends to inform services and processes.
• Provides regional leadership for the US and Latin America Risk Engineering team across assigned lines.
• Manages team resources, budget, headcount planning, and staffing coordination.
• Contributes to global Risk Engineering strategy and leads regional implementation.
