Job summary

The Illinois Department of Corrections seeks a Southern Region Re-Entry Manager to supervise the Reentry Correctional Assessment Specialists and coordinate risk assessments for individuals on mandatory supervised release. You will work with employers to develop workforce opportunities and expand re-entry services across the state.

The role requires strong collaboration with community stakeholders, supervision experience, and travel across Illinois.

Qualifications

• Requires four (4) years college with courses in psychology, social work, behavioral or social sciences, or related field.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in the social sciences with direct experience in mental health, substance abuse, or medical discharge planning.
• Three (3) years supervisory experience in a program related field.
• Prefers a Masters’ degree or higher in psychology, social work, behavioral or social sciences.
• Prefers at least three (3) years of experience in risk assessment, case planning, workforce development, and related areas.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Southern Region Reentry Manager.
• Monitors linkages between DOC and community-based organizations and providers to ensure continuity of care after release.
• Administers regional reentry services and workforce development strategies.
• Monitors risk assessments and case plans for individuals on MSR.
• Serves as full-line supervisor.
• Participates in committees related to reentry services.
• Performs other duties as required within scope of duties enumerated.
