Forestar Group Inc. is seeking an Associate Region Real Estate Counsel-FG to support the Region Real Estate Counsel across markets.

The role focuses on guidance for land acquisition, development and disposition, with emphasis on contract drafting, due diligence, title and environmental review, and closings. You will work with operations teams, coordinate with outside counsel, and advise on risk while ensuring compliance with corporate policies.

Qualificações

• Juris Doctor degree required and current license to practice law.
• 2–3 years’ experience in real estate transactions across markets.
• Experience drafting/negotiating real estate contracts; due diligence and land closings.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple transactions concurrently.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Outlook, Adobe and PowerPoint.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Region Counsel to provide legal guidance on land acquisition, development and disposition; draft and negotiate contracts and related documents.
• Coordinate real estate closings with paralegals, division personnel and outside counsel.
• Review and revise contractor and subcontractor contracts and disputes.
• Provide practical business-oriented legal guidance and identify risks; escalate when needed.
• Prepare restrictive covenants and HOA documents; support HOA managers.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on financing districts and bond issuances; ensure policy compliance.
• Support land banking, development and construction agreements and related matters.
• Maintain standard contracts and documents; assist in file management and cross-functional coordination.
