You will ensure patient safety per ALARA, prepare medications via vascular access when prescribed, evaluate image quality, and assist licensed practitioners during fluoroscopic exams. A team-focused approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT‑R registry required within six months or within 24 months for advancement.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree related to healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient identification, ensure proper preparation, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate image quality, verify storage or transfer of data, and perform post-processing if needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist licensed practitioners during fluoroscopic and specialized procedures.
• Perform radiographic procedures in various settings, including operating rooms and ICU.
