Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, and analyze data to support accurate diagnoses in a clinical setting.

The role emphasizes ALARA principles, image quality assessment, and collaboration with licensed practitioners across operating rooms and ICUs. Training and education of teammates and students are important components of this position.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months.
• Applicants hired after a specified date must complete steps to advance to level 2 within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, ensure patient identification and preparation, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize patient safety and care quality.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate images for quality and proper positioning.
• Verify data storage and transfer, and perform post-processing if applicable.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist licensed practitioners in fluoroscopic and specialized procedures.
• Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures outside the radiology department, such as in operating rooms or ICUs.
