Job summary

QUIKRETE Companies seeks a Regional Quality Control Manager for the Florida Region, based in Lakeland/Plant City with travel about 50%. You will lead quality initiatives across multiple plants, mentor QC staff, and coordinate with corporate QA and R&D.

Responsibilities include raw and finished material quality assurance, data analysis, investigations, new product trials, audits, and safety compliance. Strong supervisory experience and chemical/materials background preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ industrial experience in the Quality field.
• B.S. in science or engineering preferred; Chemistry or Chemical Engineering degrees are a plus.
• Experience in (dry) chemicals or materials manufacturing is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience.
• Management experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; Access is a plus.
• Working knowledge of construction material testing (concrete, cement, aggregate) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure raw material quality, including evaluation of potential sources, review and analysis of QC data, vendor visits, and disposition of nonconforming material.
• Ensure finished product quality, including review and analysis of QC/QA data, and disposition of nonconforming product.
• Manage QC staff contributions, with training and counseling as needed.
• Conduct customer complaint investigations and liaise between Sales, Operations, and corporate QA staff.
• Troubleshoot and implement preventive and corrective actions for complaints and QC/QA trends.
• Conduct new product trials and introductions with R&D and QA.
• Audit QUIKRETE Plants for compliance with quality requirements.
• Contribute to and implement Corporate Quality initiatives.
• Maintain plants’ Formula Master, Raw Material Approvals, and QC Manual.
