Job summary

STGi, a regional provider, seeks a Regional Quality Assurance & Education Nurse to oversee clinical quality improvement and coordinate education across several long-term care facilities in North Carolina. The role ensures CMS/state survey readiness and drives performance improvement.

You will lead audits, develop training, mentor DONs and nurse managers, and collaborate with regional leadership to reduce rehospitalizations and infection rates while maintaining high patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (multi-state preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years in long-term care.
• Minimum 2 years in nursing leadership (DON/ADON/QA) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and state survey process.
• Experience with Quality Measures and staff education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical quality improvement initiatives across multiple facilities.
• Coordinate and deliver education programs for nursing staff and leaders.
• Lead audits (MDS, infection control, medication management, wound care).
• Support survey readiness and develop Plans of Correction (POCs).
• Collaborate with regional leadership to improve outcomes and reduce rehospitalizations.
