Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. in Troy, MI is seeking a Regional Purchasing Manager to lead materials management and purchasing across U.S. plants. The role focuses on cost reduction, supplier performance, and strategic alignment with corporate purchasing leadership.

You will coach plant teams, standardize processes, and drive improvements in inventory accuracy, availability, and cost controls while collaborating with regional and corporate stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manufactured housing or construction industry experience.
• Minimum 7 years of plant- or corporate-level materials management experience.
• At least 3 years of prior procurement experience.
• Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory management, replenishment, receiving, cycle counting, physical inventory, E&O, and purchase-order management.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing and materials-management processes across assigned plants.
• Monitor plant performance and drive corrective actions.
• Improve material cost, inventory accuracy, supplier performance and inventory turns.
• Coach plant purchasing teams and provide interim leadership.
• Develop recognition for improvements and share best practices across plants.
• Support RFQ activity and purchasing agreements; align with supplier expectations.
• Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to align resources and drive action.
