Job summary

Masters Transportation in Wood River, IL is seeking a Public Sector Regional Sales Manager to proactively develop the assigned region by identifying and securing new government business for shuttle buses and passenger vans.

This full-time role reports to the Director of Public Sector Sales and involves 50–60% travel, a base salary plus commission, and comprehensive benefits. Strong relationship-building and bid/RFP coordination are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of successful sales experience, preferably in B2B, fleet, transportation, or public sector sales.
• Experience using Salesforce or another CRM to manage customer activity, sales opportunities, forecasting, and pipeline reporting.
• Knowledge of bid/RFP processes is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, create, develop, and secure new public sector business opportunities within an assigned region.
• Promote and sell shuttle buses, passenger vans, and related transportation solutions by assessing customer needs and recommending options.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to post-sale follow-up and contract coordination.
• Build relationships with public sector decision-makers, fleet managers, and key stakeholders to support long-term growth.
