Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Area Property Manager to oversee daily operations, leasing, and upkeep for 3–6 small buildings totaling 150–200 units in the Los Angeles area. This boots-on-the-ground role requires hands-on management of one on-site staff member and close coordination with a Maintenance Technician.

Ideal candidate brings strong conventional market-rate experience, multi-site portfolio skills, and expert use of AppFolio to drive leasing, collections, and maintenance outcomes, with a focus on

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential property management experience.
• Proficient AppFolio for leasing, collections, and tenant ledgers.
• Experience with conventional, market-rate properties.
• Leadership experience managing at least one direct report.
• Knowledge of LA landlord-tenant laws and rent control.

Responsibilities

• On-site operations: oversee 3–6 properties, manage one on-site staff member, coordinate with maintenance tech.
• Marketing & leasing: post ads, conduct tours, execute leases, log activity in AppFolio.
• Financials & collections: manage rents, utilities, and ledger accuracy within budgets.
• Tenant relations & legal: handle notices, evictions, and compliance with laws.
• Field presence: frequent travel across LA cluster to supervise staff and property upkeep.
