Job Description

The Regional Project Manager will report to the Vice President or higher.

The Regional PM will work closely with both field and executive leadership to deliver on organizational goals related to safety, customer satisfaction, contractual compliance, and financial targets.

The Regional PM will be expected to foster and promote safety, customer satisfaction, budget management, and contract compliance.

The Regional PM will help foster positive client relationships in their respective area and will be the subject matter expert on their respective DOT’s requirements and processes.

The Regional PM will be responsible for ensuring that Project Managers and Senior Project Managers understand all MRP and/or AMPER processes and goals and compliance elements of each contract, and will intervene in underperforming operations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership and support for the day-to-day operations of the asset management business unit.
  2. Work closely with operations leadership to:
    • Maintain company culture at the project level.
    • Establish challenging yet attainable KPIs and goals.
    • Evaluate results and effectiveness.
    • Identify and correct performance discrepancies and financial shortfalls.
  3. Support and lead the team in overcoming challenges by finding and implementing creative solutions.
  4. Collaborate with operational teams to develop and implement detailed operational plans.
  5. Apply problem-solving skills to address productivity or efficiency challenges.
  6. Embrace safety as a core value and foster a culture of safety at all levels.
  7. Drive innovation at the project level.
  8. Evaluate talent and enhance individual performance through mentorship, coaching, and collaboration.
  9. Motivate and encourage employees at all levels, including professional staff, management, and leadership.
  10. Ensure projects remain compliant with state regulations and contractual terms at all times.
  11. Assist with operational planning and staffing for proposals and new projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience in asset management, road maintenance, or infrastructure preferred.
  • 5-10 years of executive-level operational experience with a proven track record of achieving goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or a related field.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting experience.
  • Proven success in delivering safety excellence in operations or services.
  • Ability to travel approximately 75% of the work year.
