About the Role
A leading packaging and supply chain organization is seeking a Regional PMP / Strategic Accounts Project Manager to support Packaging Management Program (PMP) assessments, Strategic Accounts initiatives, and merchandising and sourcing activities across Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas.
This role serves as the primary regional point of contact for the Strategic Accounts team and plays a key role in coordinating the onboarding, implementation, communication, and ongoing service of multi-location customer accounts. The position works closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, Accounting, suppliers, and local locations to ensure consistent execution and exceptional customer service.
In addition, this position will manage merchandising and sourcing activities for the Dallas location, including identifying products and suppliers, supporting sales opportunities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring products are competitively sourced and available to meet customer needs.
What You'll Do
Packaging Management Program (PMP)
- Plan and conduct PMP customer assessments throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas.
- Collect and analyze customer invoices, product data, specifications, and samples.
- Identify sourcing opportunities, cost savings, product consolidation, and process improvements.
- Analyze PMP effectiveness and recommend improvements based on customer feedback, savings opportunities, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate assessment activities with customers, Sales, Procurement, Operations, and servicing locations.
- Maintain accurate assessment data, track open items, and communicate results and next steps.
Strategic Accounts Project Management
- Serve as the regional liaison between the Strategic Accounts team and local locations throughout the assigned territory.
- Coordinate onboarding, implementation, transition, and ongoing support for multi-location accounts.
- Communicate account requirements, responsibilities, timelines, and service expectations to regional and local stakeholders.
- Coordinate pricing, item setup, inventory, ordering, billing, shipping, and reporting requirements.
- Manage project timelines, action items, and follow-up activities.
- Resolve issues and raise concerns as needed.
- Promote consistent execution and service expectations across all supporting locations.
- Maintain project documentation, assessment records, sourcing information, status updates, and action items.
- Manage merchandising and sourcing activities for the Dallas location.
- Identify and evaluate products and suppliers based on quality, price, availability, service, and lead time.
- Obtain and compare quotations, specifications, samples, minimums, freight terms, and lead times.
- Support sales opportunities, product conversions, cost savings initiatives, and alternative-product recommendations.
- Negotiate supplier terms and coordinate product setup, purchasing, stocking, and inventory requirements.
- Establish and manage key supplier and brand relationships.
- Maintain accurate sourcing documentation and supplier information.
- Partner with Sales and Operations to ensure products are competitively sourced and available to meet customer needs.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in sourcing, merchandising, procurement, or a related field, preferably in a regional or multi-market environment.
- Experience managing projects, customer accounts, or cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze sales, customer, and performance data and translate insights into action.
- Experience with supplier sourcing, quotation analysis, product comparisons, and negotiations.
- Experience coordinating product setup, inventory, stocking, and servicing requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands on operational execution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and procurement, planning, or analytical tools such as Power BI, Encore, or Procure Pro.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of packaging products, materials, specifications, suppliers, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with multi-location or strategic customer accounts.
- Experience in packaging, distribution, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, or a related industry.
