Job summary

Islamic Relief USA in Alsip, IL is seeking a Regional US Program Coordinator to support the US Programs Team and implement IRUSA grants and seasonal events. The role acts as a liaison to regional partners and requires travel within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work.
• At least three years’ relevant work experience in the social service field, preferably in a non-profit organization.
• This position requires travel as needed to support organizational activities.
• Fluency in spoken and written English, with proficiency in another language desirable.
• Strong logistical skills with demonstrated success in managing complex projects and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in a team.
• Experience in grant writing and in representing the organization positively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, databases, and social media.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for regional programmatic partners and maintain strong relationships.
• Understand and communicate the programmatic context of the assigned region.
• Review regional grants applications on a quarterly basis.
• Conduct quarterly visits to current program partners.
• Identify programmatic needs and opportunities for the region.
• Plan, manage and oversee regional IRUSA seasonal events.
• Coordinate with external partners for seasonal events and grants.
• Assist in developing program proposals, strategies and training modules.
• Maintain program database and track results of implemented programs.
• Travel to events within the United States as required.
• Support ongoing improvement of program policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
