Job summary

Southeast AHEC seeks a Regional Program Coordinator to develop and coordinate healthcare workforce pipeline programs across Southeast Illinois. You will build partnerships with schools, colleges, healthcare providers, and community organizations, and support grant-funded initiatives.

Reporting to the AHEC Director, you will engage students in healthcare career exploration, manage data reporting, and ensure program objectives are met while traveling within the service area and coordinating events

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or associates with 3 years relevant experience.
• Experience in program coordination, education, outreach, workforce development, healthcare, student engagement, and grants.
• Knowledge of healthcare workforce development and rural health issues preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management/reporting systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the Southeast Illinois service area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate healthcare workforce pipeline programs.
• Foster community and educational partnerships.
• Engage students in healthcare career exploration.
• Support grant-funded efforts to strengthen rural healthcare workforce.
• Develop presentations, educational materials, reports, and outreach communications.
• Represent AHEC and Wabash General Hospital at meetings and events.
• Coordinate, implement, and evaluate healthcare career pathway and workforce development programs.
• Build partnerships with schools, colleges, healthcare providers, workforce agencies, and community organizations.
• Collect, maintain, and report program and participant data.
