Job summary

EMD Electronics invites a Principal Manager, NA & EU Product Engineering to lead regional engineering teams across North America and Europe, driving new product development and sustaining engineering programs. This role sits on the global engineering council and collaborates with regional leads to align strategy with customer needs.

You will oversee resource planning, ensure safety and quality, and partner with global engineers to deliver robust, cost-effective solutions while maintaining

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related field; master's preferred with electromechanical background.
• 8+ years experience in operations or engineering.
• Proven leadership and management skills to optimize team performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a regional team of engineers across NA & EU and oversee project management and workload forecasting.
• Own regional execution of the new product development portfolio from concept to volume manufacturing.
• Promote safety and quality practices, ensure SEMI/ISO compliance.
• Develop resource plans and allocate engineering resources across programs.
• Communicate impact of changes to stakeholders and optimize cost without sacrificing quality.
• Lead monthly town hall meetings, manage regional budget and forecast and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support for regional manufacturing operations.
• Drive quality initiatives via root cause analysis and FMEAs with supplier quality teams.
• Implement metrics to measure NPD cycle time and first-pass yield.
