Job summary

Sonoma State University is seeking a Part-time, temporary Pre-Collegiate Program Assistant (Casual Worker) to support Upward Bound and Academic Talent Search programs for students in grades 6–12. The role reports to the Regional Program Manager and Associate Director, providing academic, operational, and motivational support.

Candidates should have two years’ experience working with diverse populations, strong communication, typing, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Apps.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience with a diverse participant population.
• Ability to communicate professionally with participants, parents, schools and professionals.
• Proficiency in typing and with Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must successfully clear fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, operational and motivational support to program participants in grades 6–12.
• Assist with programmatic needs to meet annual objectives.
• Follow supervision by Program Manager and Associate Director.
