Job summary

Siemens Energy Gas Services North America is seeking a Regional Portfolio Project Engineer to drive engineering execution, align technical priorities, and modernize portfolio workflows across outages. You will collaborate with Central Operations and Field Service to optimize resource deployment using advanced scheduling and analytics.

You will lead risk reviews, implement data-driven forecasting, and help standardize processes, digital tools, and governance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in project engineering, technical project management, or service operations within energy or power generation
  • Knowledge of gas turbines or power generation technology, risk management, portfolio management, and resource scheduling/forecasting
  • Experience with PM methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall; PMP or equivalent preferred
  • Exposure to digital transformation, data analytics, predictive analytics, or AI tools with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship; internal transfers may be possible for visa holders

  • Manage engineering schedules, milestones, technical risk assessments, and post-project reviews to strengthen execution

As a Regional Portfolio Project Engineer within Central Resources for Siemens Energy Gas Services North America, you will help drive engineering execution, technical alignment, and digital modernization across the regional project portfolio. You will partner with Central Operations and Field Service teams to align engineering schedules, resources, and technical priorities across outage plans. Your day may include reviewing portfolio risks and milestones, improve project-management workflows, and use data analytics or AI-enabled tools to strengthen forecasting and decision-making. You will also turn post-project lessons learned into practical improvements that support reliable, efficient service operations.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in project engineering, technical project management, or service operations within the energy or power generation sector.
  • Knowledge of gas turbines or power generation technology, technical risk management, portfolio management, and resource scheduling or forecasting.
  • Experience with project-management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall; PMP or an equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Exposure to digital transformation, business intelligence, data analytics, predictive analytics, or AI tools is preferred, with strong communication, stakeholder-management, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
