Job summary

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is seeking a Regional Political Director to manage challenges and open seats nationwide, guiding campaigns and staff, and coordinating fundraising, political strategy, press, and organizing plans. Travel to regions will be involved as needed, with a focus on winning back the House.

The role requires multi-cycle campaign leadership, strong communication skills, and a deep commitment to teamwork and inclusivity.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 cycles of campaign management at Congressional level or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least 3 cycles of staff management and team leadership is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively.

Description

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and winning the House majority.

Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.

Position Summary

The Regional Political Director will be responsible for working with challenger and open seat candidates across the country to develop winning campaigns. They will be responsible for helping to problem solve alongside Democratic campaign operations, identify and train campaign staff to place on campaigns, help manage campaign budgets, and work with other DCCC staff and House campaigns to advise and guide fundraising, political, press, paid media, and organizing plans.

Requirements
  • At least 2 cycles of campaign management at Congressional level or equivalent experience is required
  • At least 3 cycles of staff management and team leadership is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of paid media planning, including tracking competitive spending and analyzing digital media plans
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Self-motivation and the ability to anticipate and prevent problems
  • Thorough understanding of the House battlefield and a strong commitment to winning back the House
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and developing leadership
