Job description

Regional Physical Security Design & Delivery Lead

RedCloud seeks a Regional Physical Security Design & Delivery Lead to support immediate client operations.

Location: United States (Remote) with regular travel to data center sites across the region.

Overview

This is a people-first leadership role. The Regional Design & Delivery Lead is accountable for the performance, development, and morale of a ~40-person team delivering physical security design and construction delivery across data center sites in North and South America for a leading global technology client.

Success in this role is defined by the leader's ability to build an accountable, high-performing, and motivated team that consistently delivers projects on schedule with zero security-driven exceptions — not by individual technical output. We are seeking a proven people leader with strong physical security design and delivery fluency.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Lead the team — directly manage and develop Area Delivery Managers; set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for real ownership of their responsibilities.
  • Manage performance — measure and monitor team KPIs; run structured 1:1s, coaching, and mentoring; identify underperformance early and address it directly, including through performance improvement plans.
  • Build the culture — strengthen morale, engagement, and retention through recognition, team-building, and a healthy, high-standards performance culture.
  • Shape the team — assess team structure and make changes to optimize accountability, productivity, and quality; identify future resourcing and capability gaps and build bench strength.
  • Measure what matters — establish clear performance metrics and use data (Asana, ACC, PMO reporting) to monitor and continuously improve individual and team performance.
Delivery Oversight & Accountability
  • Own regional delivery outcomes: projects meet client (FR) timelines with zero security-driven exceptions.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for day-to-day regional operations, driving timely resolution and alignment.
  • Intervene decisively on recurring issues, bottlenecks, and process failures that impact delivery, quality, or client experience.
  • Act as the final quality gatekeeper on project closeouts — design reviews, field reporting / ACC closure, and site visits.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong client relationships and translate client needs, risks, and feedback into actionable proposals for HQ and global leadership.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in writing to clients and leadership on escalations, status, and risk.
  • Own regional KPIs and represent regional performance in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) in partnership with the PMO.
Strategic Alignment
  • Coordinate with global and peer regional leads (Global, West, East, EMEA/APAC) to align execution with global strategy and share best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement, applying lessons learned to fix systemic inefficiencies across the program.
What Success Looks Like (First 6-12 Months)
  • A visibly accountable team with clear ownership at every level and measurable performance improvement.
  • On-time delivery with zero security-driven exceptions.
  • Fewer escalations reaching senior leadership, because frontline ownership is stronger.
  • Improved team morale and retention, with a functioning coaching and performance-management cadence in place.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Proven experience leading and developing multi-layered teams (managing managers), ideally 20–50+ people, in a delivery or operations environment.
  • Demonstrated success in performance management — setting expectations, holding accountability, coaching, and turning around underperformers.
  • Solid background in physical security design & delivery, security systems integration, or construction / project delivery: enough technical fluency to earn credibility with the team and client and make sound judgment calls.
  • Experience in fast-paced, client-facing delivery environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.
  • Data-driven approach to managing performance (project-management and reporting tools such as Asana; KPI ownership).
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to sites across the region.
  • Delivery experience with hyperscale data center, critical-infrastructure, or mission-critical construction clients preferred.
  • Familiarity with physical security design standards, commissioning, and field QA/QC preferred.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language ability (South America coverage) a plus.
  • PMP or equivalent; relevant security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) a plus.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
