Job summary

Bausch + Lomb is seeking a Regional Account Manager - Market Access to execute payor strategies within a defined US region, securing coverage, coding, and reimbursement for Surgical Glaucoma products. You will collaborate with Sales, Medical Affairs, and HUB providers to educate physicians and institutions on local payor policy requirements.

The role requires deep experience in payor reimbursement, strong stakeholder engagement, and extensive travel (30–50%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of payor-reimbursement experience in medical devices.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in ophthalmic practice management, billing, and revenue cycle.
• Ability to interpret MAC LCDs and CMS regulations for Medicare Advantage.
• Proven payor strategy, reimbursement and account management experience.
• Deep knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding, billing and appeals processes.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% (~3 nights/week).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional payor strategies to secure coverage and reimbursement.
• Partner with Sales to educate customers and remove access barriers.
• Conduct reimbursement seminars on local payor criteria and requirements.
• Build relationships with payor medical directors and state agencies to influence policy.
• Serve as subject-matter expert for regional payors on reimbursement and coding.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Commercial, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid as needed.
