Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines seeks professional CDL-A drivers for regional over-the-road routes within the Estes network. You will operate tractors safely across diverse terrains, adhere to FMCSA regulations, and maintain accurate logs and inspections.

Expect regular home time, competitive pay, and benefits such as uniforms, lodging, and cell phone reimbursements. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, and HazMat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• 21 years of age per FMCSA regulations (1 year driving experience).
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required (LCV requirement may apply).
• Must be able to drive a tractor trailer per FMCSA requirements.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Physical activities include: standing, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, etc.
• Must be able to drop/hook and couple trailers involving heavy lifting; approximate 65 lbs. push/pull.
• Must provide an acceptable MVR.
• Must be familiar with state motor vehicle laws and FMCSA rules.
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test.
• Must meet FMCSA English reading/speaking requirements.
• Must lift approximately 70 lbs., or more if required.
• Must be able to drive all routes and terrains.
• Must handle various weather conditions.
• Must operate all safety and operational functions of equipment.
• Must comply with company policies and Code of Conduct.
• Must interact well with others; work independently or in a team.
• Must handle high-volume, time-constrained environments.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment to perform safety functions and drive in various terrains.
• Safely transport freight in compliance with FMCSA and company rules.
• Maintain compliance with FMCSA drug/alcohol and medical requirements.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Ensure security of equipment and cargo and accurate paperwork.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers; regular attendance required.
• May use in-cab technology such as electronic logs.
