This position assists with timely and effective tracking, consolidation and response to taskers from HQMC, MCICOM, MR/MF or supported commands. Tracking and responding to taskers through appropriate systems and platforms. Ensures tasks are prioritized in support of the intent provided by the MCCS leadership. This position participates in and is a key member of the staff that implements the Marine Corps Planning Process. Represents MCCS on various committees or with adjacent organizations. Performs duties for military-related social functions and coordinates MCCS participation/support for military base training operations. Coordinates activities involving civilian agencies. Monitors time-sensitive and high-profile projects. Gathers necessary data through research or from available resources, analyzes data, produces useful information, uses that information to format necessary reports and directives for approval from the MCCS AC/S and Deputy AC/S. Responds to and drafts into appropriate format briefing slides, correspondence, statistical material, reports, special projects and notes for briefs to commands at all levels. Provides guidance to and synchronization of current and future operations impacting MCCS across the full portfolio of support efforts. Establishes and maintains turnover file on recurring activities. Supervises the coordinated planning to include operational planning teams, integrated planning and leads special projects. This position prepares read ahead, Quad Charts, Briefs, Information and Decision papers, and reports. This position participates as a representative during the planning and execution of MCCS efforts in Force Protection Exercises and serves as one of the primary MCCS representatives in the MCIWEST RDOC. Represents MCCS on various committees, planning teams to ensure the organizations operations, resources and capabilities are effectively implemented. Coordinates with and across the Operations sections to ensure timely response, submission and coordination is achieved through both reoccurring and unanticipated organizational requirements, tasking and planning. Assists with the effective coordination with Higher Headquarters to include MCICOM, HQMC MR/MF and all supported commands. May travel to complete work assignments.
A minimum of four years¿ related experience in management and supervision, specifically significant experience related to operations planning while working with staff and administrative process and activities Relevant education may be used as a substitute for experience. Knowledge of Marine Corps structure, policies and procedures is required. Must be familiar with MCCS management policies, concepts, practices, and principles in order to support operations and administrative planning and coordination along with ability to operate computer and associated software. Must have the ability to deal courteously, effectively and tactfully with others, even in stressful environments. Flexibility in working conditions and hours is required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
