Job summary

Univar Solutions in San Diego is seeking a Regional Operations leader to maintain safe, legal, efficient and economical branch operations while guiding managers and staff. You will coordinate with corporate staff to achieve safety, regulatory compliance and profitability across the region.

The role involves formulating long and short term operating plans, guiding maintenance and facility improvements, and ensuring adherence to OSHA and EPA standards.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of proven distribution experience with a company.
• College degree, or equivalent business experience.
• Must be able to motivate and secure the confidence of others.
• Able to read, understand and interpret Profit and Loss spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and submit operating programs and plans for Regional Vice President approval.
• Implement and maintain standard operating equipment, policies, and methods within the Region.
• Advise Regional Logistics Managers on logistics recommendations.
• Oversee maintenance and expansion of facilities with General Manager input.
• Review operational activities at branches and implement changes as needed.
• Coordinate with branches on structure, personnel issues and labor relations.
