Regional Operations Manager

Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and growth-oriented person to join our team as the Regional Operations Manager for our Rockdale, IL branch. This position is an exempt, full-time role and reports to the Director of Operations for the East Region. Minimal travel is required.

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of a designated Street Smart location. This role ensures operational efficiency, consistency in execution, and the achievement of performance goals in line with company standards and objectives. The Regional Operations Manager will lead, mentor, and support Service Technicians, ensuring the seamless integration of company policies, operational procedures, and customer service excellence. A key focus is on driving productivity, maintaining high service standards, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

General Management

• Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance onsite and offsite
• Responsible for successful team member onboarding and training
• Conduct quarterly reviews with team members
• Identify opportunities to enhance operations and processes to exceed budgets
• Manage and review monthly operations budget
• Perform regional operations administrative duties, including employee relations tasks in partnership with HR
• Strategic planning to meet personal and operational goals
• Ensure safety goals are met

Equipment & Customer Service Management

• Manage activities related to rental and sale of equipment, including availability, functionality, deployments, customer satisfaction, repairs
• Manage repair and preventative maintenance schedules
• Ensure quality control for equipment
• Schedule service and maintenance work for internal assets
• Manage inventory and conduct bi-weekly audits
• Oversee Intelligent Work Zone services and Smart Work Zones
• Monitor and respond to customer-impacting issues
• Provide high-level customer service
• Assist in managing customer relationships with the Regional Sales Manager
• Repair and deploy equipment, sometimes on the roadside with live traffic

Facility & CRM Management

• Coordinate facility maintenance and upkeep
• Manage relationships with facility landlords and service providers
• Manage utilities and facility needs
• Maintain CRM data related to operations, equipment repairs, and assets
• Travel as required to current and potential clients
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years management experience
• Valid driver's license and ability to qualify for a DOT medical card

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in inventory management, 6S, forklift operation, warehouse, engineering, or shop work
• Basic electronics knowledge

The role involves physical activities like standing, driving, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, working in various environments, and traveling. Personal protective equipment is required, and the ability to communicate effectively in English is essential.
