Job summary

Lowcountry Oncology Associates seeks a compassionate Infusion Nurse to join the Mount Pleasant clinic. You will administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other infusion therapies in an outpatient setting, closely monitoring patients during treatment and responding to adverse events.

The role requires a current SC RN license, BLS, and EMR experience. You will educate patients and families about treatment plans while maintaining strict safety and HIPAA practices in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is required
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced outpatient oncology

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to patients receiving outpatient infusion therapies
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy and other infusions per orders
• Monitor for adverse reactions and intervene as needed
• Document assessments, treatments, patient responses and communications in EMR
• Educate patients and families about treatment and side effects
• Maintain safety, HIPAA compliance and infection control practices
• Perform IV/port access and other nursing procedures within scope
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, pharmacists and care team
