The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking a Regional Office Receptionist to manage calls, greet visitors, and direct inquiries at the Knox County regional office in Galesburg. This in-office role supports frontline public service for Illinois families.

Ideal candidates will have 2 years of office experience, strong keyboarding skills (45 wpm), and a commitment to professional, courteous service within a union environment.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
• Requires 2 years of office experience.
• Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm.

Responsabilités

• Serves as Regional Office Receptionist.
• Answers all incoming calls and screens callers to determine nature of request, many of which may be hostile.
• Greets visitors and directs walk-ins to appropriate offices and resources.
• Orders and distributes forms from Central Stores.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
